Hello, All.



I hope this email finds you well!  I recently met with Mike McClain and
Simone Till with Galt.  I am excited about their services!  I recall my
employment  services days when Abilities  worked with a staffing agency to
help consumers with “getting a foot in the door.”   Once there, they could
shine and demonstrate their talents and skills.  The staffing agency helped
to bridge the “hesitancy barrier” that we encountered with many employers.
It allowed the employer to observe the employee’s skills without any
financial risk as well as allowed the employee applicant to also determine
if the company was a good fit.  In many of these situations, the positions
became regular paid opportunities with the company.



What is unique about Galt, though, is their employee pool is only comprised
of persons with disabilities.  They are expanding to Florida, so I wanted
to connect them with our local network.  I stressed that VR contacts have
strict parameters for placement into competitive employment.   As an FYI:
there is no fee to the employee.  Attached is information on their program
and hoping to connect them with our local employment service providers.
