[Nfbj] Introduction and getting to know fellow members

Oh I have a long background. Attaching some articles on myself so I don't
have to rewrite it all.... but regarding my support network-the group for
parents of blind children is called "insight Beyond Eyesight". We have
teleconference calls every so often. Although some of the conversation
sometimes revolves about religious practices and includes some
Yiddish/Hebrew, it is mostly in English and mostly not focused on religion.
You can listen to our recordings of previous teleconferences and let me know
what you think. The playback number is (515) 604-2015 and the pin number is
635737 and we have reference numbers from 1 through 19 with a broad range of
speakers. I moderate the calls but haven't actually been a speaker on any of
them.
Also, a friend of mine is working on getting together a group for blind
ladies-again, it's officially for Orthodox Jewish women but many topics
discussed are not necessarily very religious in nature. If you'd be
interested in participating, I can ask my friend what she thinks so keep me
posted.
In the meantime, enjoy the articles and the teleconference and let me know
