Hi again, would you consider filling out the survey with me by phone? It would be a great help and I would love to participate although I don’t have access to my computer right now so I wouldn’t be able to fill it out myself. Thank you

This message was sent with my mobile phone, please disregard any typos or grammatical errors. Thanks, Rachel

Hello fellow Federationists,

I am an academic researcher and I have been commissioned to write an
article on Braille for the forthcoming *Encyclopedia of Jewish Book
Cultures*. It covers the history of the development of Braille, especially
for reading Hebrew, and it should also include some statement of Braille's
impact on the lived experience of Jews and Jewish communities. I am
considering expanding this project to a long article or book, and so I am
gathering information on how Braille has impacted religious life "on the
ground," as it were, rather than just in academic discussions.

I have prepared a questionnaire to guide my research, and I would
appreciate it if you all would fill it out. It should take less than
fifteen minutes, and it will help me get an idea of what things are
consistent and different between different movements and congregations.

Thank you in advance for your participation! A link to the questionnaire is
below.

Best wishes,
Eric Harvey
