Hi all,
See attached and below from a member of the Insight Beyond Eyesight group.
This is also interesting for the general population-not only interesting-but
an important tool for community awareness and sensitivity.
Please spread the word and support this project!
Thanks, RY
Hi,
If your child who is blind or visually impaired ever felt alone or
misunderstood in a world full of sighted people, I understand. Not because
I'm a parent of a child who is blind or visually impaired but because I was
that child.
I lost my sight when I was a kid and I experienced all those feelings of
loneliness and fear. Sometimes I wondered if anyone in the world understood
my life.
As a person who is blind, I know how important it is to feel seen. I know
how valuable it is for others to know that our lives are rich, enjoyable and
productive.
That's why I wrote my new book, Many Ways to See.
I want every child who is blind or visually impaired to have the opportunity
to share their life with their friends, classmates and relatives. In Many
Ways to See, readers follow Sara, a young girl who is blind, through her
day, watching as she copes in creative ways while using her other senses.
No child should ever feel misunderstood. With Many Ways to See, your child
who is blind or visually impaired has a positive and upbeat story to share
with the world.
Available in most local Judaica stores or on Israel Book Shop's website or
on Amazon.
Happy Reading,
Gitty Zee
