[NFBJ] NFB In Judaism Group Annual Meeting-July 9

Can you believe it? our national convention is starting less than a week
from now.  Our group meeting is also just around the corner.  Here are the
important details:
*Date and Time:* Wednesday, July 9, 2025, 7-9 PM CDT. (8-10 PM EDT.,
6-8 PM MDT.,
5-7 PM PDT, and 3-5 AM Israel Time, July 10).
*Place:*  New Orleans Marriott, 555 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, Studio
3. (located on the 2nd Floor) If you are not able to join us in person, we
will be meeting via Zoom as well. (Zoom details appear at the bottom of
this email.)
We have three presenters who will share how their organizations are helping
persons who are blind or have low vision be an integral part of the Jewish
community:

   - *Michele Shapiro-Abraham, Executive Director, JBI Library (new name)*
   -Michele will share all of the exciting new program and activities that
   JBI Library  is conducting to connect people who are blind, have print
   disabilities with the printed word.
   - *Rachel Bodek, TVI & Cofounder, Insight Beyond Eyesight-*Rachel will talk
   about her work with blind and low vision individuals in the
Orthodox community
   in New York.
   -  *Rabbi Lenny Sarko, Devarim Institute-*Sharing information on
new refreshable
   Braille materials and course offerings.
   - There will be time to bring up other issues or questions people may
   have.  I am asking people to think about programs and/or activities that
   this group can undertake in the coming year.

I hope that as many of you as possible will come, listen and participate in
what I hope will be an exciting meeting. If anyone has questions or topics
that they wish to bring up, please let me know.  My contact information is
