Hi George, and I want to thank you for visiting the NFB of Lexington's
November Chapter meeting and demonstrating the Summit!  Even though I could
not attend for being out of town, I find your announcement of ease of
purchase awesome!  Pamela and those in attendance at that meeting
broadcasted the fantastic access to products and groceries far and wide.  I
will vouch for the Summit's capabilities and ease of usability, for I am now
endowed with one!  I love it for certain.

 

The Summit is almost half the size of the older version of the ID-Mate, and
for those who don't know what it does.. I have had mine in the store
identifying peaches and cream and all sorts of items by scanning the
products' bar code and also navigating through a menu to discover
ingredients, directions for preparing, and other types of information.  I
don't know, seems like there are millions of entries on the gigabite or 2
memory card.

 

The device can also be used to record one's own personal notes to be
replayed when necessary and use blank bar code stickers to record any kind
of information (iron on for id'ing clothing, stick on for CDs-DVDs etc., and
tags attached by elastic for just hanging on an item).  Santa can't go wrong
by making this purchase for the loved one of the house..
