I am poasting this for those who can make use of the information if
you down load books from bard than it works just like the bard site I
found this on another list I am on.
To get started when clicking on to the aph.org web site click on to
accessible magazines then click on to free Magazines and then click
on to create new account and feel in all of the boxes and then when
your account is set up just click on to the Reader's Digest
December/January 2010 file and just download it to your computer and
you are good to go this is the only file on the download site so far.
I just about for got the file is zipped you all have a good weekend.

For those who might be interested, the recorded version of Reader's
Digest can now be downloaded from the APH web site for playing on a
digital player like the Victor Stream. The December issue is up on the
site. Actually it is the December-January issue since Reader's Digest
is now published only ten times a year. To download Reader's Digest
and eventually Newsweek. go to the website www.aph.org and set up an
account by putting in your name and email address and creating a
password. You download it just the way you download books from the
BARD site, putting it into a folder on your computer and then
transfering it into your player. As I understand it, if you are
currently getting the magazine on cassette, you will stop getting the
tapes. I used to get Reader's Digest in Braille about forty years ago
and the magazine has sure changed since then. It is much shorter and,
in my opinion, no where near as good as it was. the new issue didn't
even have a book exerpt, just some tiny exerpts from several books,
about a paragraph or so. John
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
