Needed

Hi,

Again for those in the US I thought I would send along. I find it easier
just to go in with someone even though the vote is not private I can get
done in a mater of a couple of minutes instead of a half hour or so.

The National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute needs feedback
from blind and low vision voters, who voted in the 2010 midterm election, on
their experience using accessible voting systems. Feedback on the following
is needed:

Was the accessible voting system up and running when you
arrived?

Did the poll workers know how to operate the accessible voting
system?

Did you have any problems voting with the accessible voting
system?

Were you able to cast your vote privately and independently?

This information will be provided to a voting work group of state election
officials and protection and advocacy system personnel that has been
established by the NFB under its 2010-2011 HAVA grant from the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services. If you are blind or have low
vision and have used an accessible voting system in the 2010 midterm
election, please send an e-mail describing your experience, the city or
county and state where you voted, and the type of accessible voting system
used (if known) to Lou Ann Blake, NFB Jernigan Institute, at lblake at nfb.org.
Thank you for your help!
