Personally I never depend on any signs from the builders of anything I use
the actual traffic noise to stay clear of said traffic. The world will
never be accessible, we have to learn to adapt to it.

>> Hello everyone,
>>
>> I am going to bring up two accessibility concerns. When I go west of my
>> house on Westport Road toward the McDowell Center, I have to cross an
>> intersection that is in front of the TAPP School. It is extremely
>> rounded,
>> and the crosswalk/curbcut goes out into the intersection at a diagonal.
>> There are other intersections like this as well. Actually, Quattro now
>> handles it well going west, but coming home, he was getting me too close
>> to
>> traffic.
>>
>> I have worked with several instructors and have found a work-around. I
>> use
>> my cane to find a gratting and step to the right of it. Then, Quattro
>> and I
>> go across. We go straight across, and trail the curb to come back. I
>> suggest rights, and we get back along Westport Road. I think someone on
>> the
>> state level needs to be informed about the kinds of problems this kind of
>> crosswalk can cause. It would be easily solved if they simply estended
>> the
>> truncated domes far enough around so that a guideline would show where to
>> cross. This is a particularly bad intersection because, if I go too far
>> away from it, I can end up in the TAPP school parking lot.
>>
>> My second accessibility concern is totally unrelated. Does anone know of
>> a
>> place where I can get an Insight cable listing? I just want a list of

>> now,
>> I get a mishmash. Newsline will give me individual channels, but I want
>> a
>> list that I can use as a reference.
