Description of Job Duties
Provides vocational assessment, vocational counseling and caseload
management services. Collects & evaluates medical, psychiatric, vocational
reports. Makes recommendations regarding eligibility and order of selection.
Jointly plans out VR services with consumer to include vocational goal,
services on IPE, choice in service providers and responsibilities of both
counselor and consumer. Monitors progress and adheres to federal regulations
regarding case documentation. Performs job development, analysis, determines
& arranges services for required number of employment outcomes/follow-up
services. Educates & provides employers w/information regarding ADA, tax
credits, etc. Serves as educator and expert to the community at large and
partners with assigned territory with service organizations, schools, and
physicians. Commits funds and monitors budgets. Provides supervision to
administrative assistant.

Qualifying: All candidates who apply and meet the minimum requirements are
eligible for placement on the register for hiring consideration.

Characteristics of the Class :
Determines eligibility for persons for vocational rehabilitation services
and provides vocational rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities
seeking gainful employment; and performs other duties as required.
Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel will be
required to coordinate services between customers and the agency.
Additional Requirements :
