Hey Gang,

I want to add my thanks to all of you who participated in our protest on
Tuesday morning in front of the Mazoli building where Rand Paul's office is
located. Our objective is to have language strickened from section 511
regarding sub minimal wage fro the disabled in the Workforce Investment Act.
We got some really good press coverage. WAVE, WHAS, WLKY TV and our local
NPR radio station were all there. The weather was hot but that didn't stop
us. I think Pamela mentioned that we had representation from all across the
state. The Senate has been listening. A vote on this issue was supposed to
have taken place on August 3rd, but has been postponed again. It won't come
up until sometime after the August break. Our fight isn't over yet. More
information about what you can do to help will be forth coming.
