Please note the street closures; if this affects you try and find an alternate route:

 

 

Due to the NCAA Tournament at the YUM Center this week, following is a list of street closures:

 

·         Witherspoon Street between First and Second streets will be closed from March 14-17. 

·         The Witherspoon parking garage will still be accessible from First and Second Streets. 

·         LMPD will have officers on duty to expedite traffic before, during and after the games. Officers will allow traffic to flow normally unless it becomes necessary for police to intervene with expediting traffic. 

·         In addition to changes to accommodate NCAA traffic, there will be additional traffic restrictions on Saturday morning for the Rodes City Run. 

 

The following roads will be closed during the accompanying time periods: 

·  6-9 a.m.: Broadway from Fifth Street to Third Street 

·  6 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Witherspoon Street from Preston Street to Bingham Way 

·  7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m.: Broadway from Third Street to Baxter Avenue 

·  8 a.m. to 9 a.m.: Baxter Avenue from Rubel Avenue to Breckinridge Street 

·  8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: Cherokee Road from Baxter Avenue to Grinstead Drive 

·  8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: Grinstead Drive from Cherokee Road to Cherokee Parkway 

·  8 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Lexington Road from Etley Drive to Liberty Street 

·  8 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Liberty Street from Lexington Road to Baxter Avenue 

·  8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Baxter Avenue from Liberty Street to Main Street 

·  8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Main Street from Baxter Avenue to Preston Street 

·  8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Preston Street from Main Street to Witherspoon Street 

·  11 a.m. to Midnight: Washington Street from Preston Street to First Street 

 

No parking from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

·  Washington Street from Preston Street to First Street 

·  Broadway from Barret Avenue to Baxter Avenue 

·  Cherokee Road from Baxter Avenue to Grinstead Drive 

·  Grinstead Drive from Cherokee Road to Cherokee Parkway 

·  Main Street from Baxter Avenue to Preston Street 

·  Preston Street from Main Street to Witherspoon Street 

·  Witherspoon Street from Preston Street to First Street
