Transportation bill which will eliminate funding for public transportation.

The reauthorization of the federal transportation law presents an
opportunity to promote, enforce, and expand health, safety, and equity in
transportation policy. Unfortunately, the House transportation
reauthorization bill eliminates dedicated funding for public transportation
and key biking and walking programs, including Safe Routes to Schools and
the Transportation Enhancements program. 

Dedicated funding for these programs is needed to help to meet the growing
demand for safe, affordable and healthy transportation and the high quality
of life that Americans want and deserve. Bicycling and walking are critical
to keeping our communities moving with healthy, safe, and accessible
transportation options.
