The National Federation of the Blind of Greater Louisville will be hosting an advocacy session on Saturday February 16 from 2-4 pm at the Kentucky School for the Blind (1867 Frankfort Ave). This session is not specific to any political issue or affiliation. The purpose of this session is to equip interested participants with the necessary information and resources to better understand how to advocate on a local, state, and national level. Topics to be discussed are: individual advocacy in the local community (government, businesses, school systems, etc.), Kentucky government resources for advocacy (websites and phone numbers), national government resources for advocacy, and more. 


This meeting is open to anyone in the community, but is especially geared toward those who are blind or visually impaired or parents of a blind/VI child. If you have any questions regarding this meeting please call (insert phone number here).
