Good point Kenny.  Some others on the list might remember more of the specifics than I do.  As I recall, some of the staff from New Vision (what is now LCI) went in to talk to the owner about hiring a blind person.  By the way, one of those staff members was a bright and competent Federationist.  Nancy was quite rude and refused to let them explain how a blind person could do the job; insisting that she would never let a blind person use a knife, among other things, and pretty much asked them to leave.  That's it in a nutshell.  I just know it was bad enough that we were all enraged at the time.  I sincerely hope her attitude has changed since then but until I learn otherwise; if I'm not good enough for her, than neither is my money.

Maybe we should all go apply for a job there and see how it plays out.  Smiles!

I forgot the specifics of this situation. Would you please share that you can?  A lot of people patronize this business, both blind and those that work with and teach the blind. Don't know if her opinions and beliefs have changed or not. Perhaps a way to educate her should be considered.
