> Baltimore, Maryland (February 4, 2014): The National Federation of the Blind, the nation’s oldest and largest nationwide organization of the blind, has sent a letter to President Obama urging him to value the work performed by workers with disabilities by including disabled workers in the forthcoming executive order raising the minimum wage for federal contract workers.  Over four-hundred thousand disabled workers, many of whom work for entities that receive federal contracts, are currently paid far less than the federal minimum wage under an obscure provision of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
