New ADA coordinator appointed

Kentucky native Jennifer Hicks is the new coordinator of the Kentucky Office of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. 

Jennifer brings many years of experience in ADA compliance and workforce development and training to her new job. She was the special assistant to the state ADA coordinator for four years. Prior to that position, she was the deputy executive director of the Office of Employment and Training for more than two years. She began her career in state government with the Kentucky Department of Labor. 

The state ADA office advises government and non-government agencies on ADA compliance, conducts trainings and reviews facilities for compliance with the federal act. 

Jennifer was born in Louisville and now lives in Waddy in Franklin County. She attended the University of Louisville.
