Dear fellow Federationists, 

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my resignation as president of the Greater Louisville chapter. Effective immediately Katie Adkins is the new GL president.

There are several reasons for my resignation, they are both professional and personal. To avoid any misunderstanding or confusion I believe it is best to not go into any further detail right now. Please know that I have not made this decision lightly, rather I have carefully considered it for several weeks. 

During this time of transition, it is more important than ever that we remain a united presence in our federation philosophy and spirit. I am still and will always be a member of the National Federation of the Blind. I am not leaving the organization just making way for new leadership. It is my hope that the chapter will flourish under Katie's presidency. Thank you all for your support and understanding.
