NFBGL is working with the American Red Cross to promote the many
opportunities to give blood. I am forwarding on some information from Pam
Greer-Ullrich, an account representative. The email below does include some
various dates, times and locations where you may donate for Louisville
Metro. Even five donations would go a long way toward filling the need for
the current shortage of blood for our community. I also wanted to add that
while this information was sent to NFBGL, anyone may go to the website,
regardless of your location, enter your zip code and find the closest
donation site and schedule an appointment.

Great to talk with you today. We so appreciate the National Federation of
the Blind-Kentucky Chapter's willingness to be blood donors. If your members
would go to the American Red Cross blood drive at
<http://www.redcrossblood.org> www.redcrossblood.org and search by the
sponsor code(s) below or their zip code, they can find an open-to-the public
drive near them.

 

We have a drive on Monday at the American Red Cross center in the auditorium
that only has 5 appointments and my goal is 15 so I definitely could use
more donors. If just 5 of your members were able to donate, it would make a
tremendous difference. It is important to make an appointment wherever you
wish to donate. There are several other opportunities across the city in the
next few weeks that have appointment openings. Here are a few drives and how
