Good Afternoon,
It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Dennis Franklin
passed away early Friday morning, August 20th. He had only been ill for a
couple of weeks. He was admitted to the hospital after a fall at his home.
Things just seemed to progress very quickly. Dennis has been a member of
the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky since the late 1960’s. He
served as treasurer of the Affiliate for a number of years. He also served
a couple of terms as President of the Greater Louisville Chapter. Dennis
had a passion for doing legislative work. Going to Frankfort and Washington
D. C. were both exciting and rewarding to him. Dennis never faltered in his
Federation spirit and philosophy. Keep the Franklin family in your hearts
and prayers.
