Greetings Everyone!

 

During our national convention last July, we learned of the exciting news
that Kentucky was selected as one out of four states to participate in a
Braille eReader Pilot program. The Kentucky Talking Book Library, KTBL began
enrolling Braille patrons into the program in early September and had
assigned 65 eReaders by month's end. The purpose of the pilot is not only to
test the functionality of the eReader, but to test ebraille circulation and
how easy or difficult it is to use for patrons with all technical abilities.
Now that we've had some time for some of our members to receive and perform
testing, we're delighted to host a panel discussion for users to share with
us some of their own experiences! Please join us on Friday, March 5 via Zoom
at 6 PM, EST to learn more about this new way to enjoy reading and how it is
making a difference to ensure that we may continue to use Braille every day!
