Join us for a literary event on April 9, at 1pm. M. Leona Godin will read from her book, There Plant Eyes, A Personal and Cultural History of Blindness. One reviewer called it “a thought-provoking mixture of criticism, memoir, and advocacy”; another assures readers that “what may have been dry and scholarly from another writer, [turns] into a funny, breezy, freewheeling escapade through literature, film, music, and comics.” Leona first visited us seven years ago, to share a scene from her one-woman show, “Star of Happiness,” about Helen’s Keller’s time with vaudeville. We’re delighted to welcome her back. Please stay for a reception following the program. Free to the public, but registration is required. Call (502) 899-2213 to register. Best for adults and children aged 6 and up
