Open House 

July 26, 2023

Please join us as we celebrate the much-anticipated reopening of 

McDowell Center's Residential Services!

 

We invite you to tour our newly renovated dormitory spaces, meet and talk
with instructors and Center students, and learn about the broad range of
services offered by the Blind Services Division of the Office of Vocational
Rehabilitation. ASL interpreters and privately led tours available upon
arrival. Light refreshments will be provided.

 

The Charles W. McDowell Rehabilitation Center, built in 1994, offers a
training curriculum designed to help individuals with vision loss reach
their own career and personal goals. The services and classes offered
include orientation and mobility training, Braille instruction, assistive
technology and computer skills training, academic remediation, work
readiness and work experience, recreational therapy, adjustment counseling,
and independent living and home management skills training.
