You’ve probably heard that we’re doing a Braille reader’s
theatre production of “The Miracle Worker” next month in the museum. We
had auditions last winter, but we’re still having trouble filling one role, the
head of the Perkins School for the Blind, Michael Anagnos. His part
includes a couple of brief monologs and one scene with Anne Sullivan. So
we need an adult who is a decent braille reader with a good voice. Any of your
friends fit the bill, with just a hint of ham in their personality? No
memorization is involved, we use a script. No costumes or stage movements
either. Any thoughts?
