
<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body dir="auto"><div><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); ">Lucretia “Lucy” Riddle McDowell Dean, 65, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014.</span></div><div><div><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p></div><div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; "><br></div><div><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Lucy was a native of Madisonville, KY and a graduate of Madisonville High School. She worked most recently as a nurse consultant for the Department for Public Health and previously employed as a Nursing Professor at Midway College, Madisonville Community College and a staff nurse at Frankfort Regional Medical</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Center.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Lucy is survived by her husband, Jamill “Jay” S. Dean; sons, Charles Patrick McDowell and his wife, Carrie M. McDowell of Chicago, IL and Daniel Ryan McDowell and his wife, Kathryn L. McDowell of Collinsville, IL; two grandsons; three stepsons; five step-grandchildren; and her brother, Keith Riddle and his wife, Laura of Madisonville, KY.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">She was the widow of Charles W. McDowell. Lucy was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. and Wanda L. Riddle; and twin sister, Patricia Riddle.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Lucy will be missed greatly by everyone she met, as friends and family came first.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Buck Run Baptist Church.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her name to American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "></p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.</span></p></div></div></body></html>
