Do you (or do you know someone) craft, knit, crochet, make jewelry, babysit, dog sit, drive or run errands, bake, cook, do house cleaning or organizing, provide computer or technology training? All of these services could be donated and make fantastic auction items! For instance, we could pair a handmade blanket with a DVD and popcorn and create “movie night” themed package. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Other themed packages might be a kids basket with various children’s activities (coloring, chalk, play dough, etc.), a jewelry package could include a necklace and earrings set with a small jewelry box, or a gift certificate for a photo shoot could be put in a picture frame for later use. We could come up with a date night basket that could include a bottle of wine, two glasses, chocolates and a dinner gift certificate, or a spring cleaning basket that might have cleaning products, gloves, paper towels and a certificate for home organizing or a gift card to Target for more supplies (all in a small laundry basket). How about a new baby basket, or a “pamper me” basket? The possibilities are endless. So put on your thinking caps and let’s make this auction the best it can be. Ask your friends, family and neighbors for help! <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Just to give you a good incentive to get creative, I’ll give the person who brings the most creative basket or package a special treat.
