Here's the lineup:<br clear="none"><br clear="none">June 27, 12:30-2:30 GOING BLIND (2010)<br clear="none"><br clear="none">Directed and produced by a filmmaker slowly losing his sight, Going<br clear="none">Blind explores the many kinds of vision loss through the personal<br clear="none">stories of six individuals. It emphasizes how much is available in<br clear="none">terms of special materials and products for the blind, new technology,<br clear="none">low vision therapy, and vision enhancement techniques.<br clear="none"><br clear="none">July 25, 12:30-2:30 THE EYES OF ME (2009)<br clear="none"><br clear="none">The Eyes of Me follows four teens in the residential program at the<br clear="none">Texas School for the Blind over the course of one school year,<br clear="none">capturing their experiences with dating, academic responsibilities,<br clear="none">fitting in, family problems, and preparing for life after high school.<br clear="none"><br clear="none">August 22, 12:30-2:30 BLINDSIGHT (2006)<br clear="none"><br clear="none">Blindsight relates how six Tibetan teenagers, all blind, reached the<br clear="none">23,000 summit of Mount Lhakpa Ri, practically next door to Everest,<br clear="none">with their teacher, Sabriye Tenberken, who established the first<br clear="none">school for the blind in Tibet, and their guide, blind mountaineer and<br clear="none">adventurer Eric Weihenmeyer. It is also about the challenges of being<br clear="none">blind, the important of building confidence in young people, and the<br clear="none">clash of Western and Tibetan notions of success.<br clear="none"><br clear="none">Admission is always free, but registration is required so we don't go<br clear="none">over our room capacity. Each movie features plenty of traditional<br clear="none">theater treats, like popcorn and junior mints.
