One hundred blind and low vision high school students from around the United States will engage in STEM classes and recreational activities designed to build confidence and increase STEM literacy.</p>
<p>The National Federation of the Blind is in need of individuals who are interested in serving as volunteers to help facilitate the program. Volunteers can serve in a variety of capacities including: helping to prepare materials for the academy, providing support to students both in and outside of class, helping execute program logistics (set-up/tear-down, material distribution etc.), and providing navigational support for students (i.e., talking signs).</p>
<p>If you are 18 years of age or older and can be available July 21-29, 2017, please complete the <a href="https://nfb.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=6214&qid=1508883">online volunteer application</a> by <strong>January 31, 2017</strong>.</p>
