We are seeking a Voc Rehab Program Specialist II to perform independent professional and vocational functions for consumers at the Charles McDowell Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson County.<br><br><b>The duties of this position</b>: Serves as the intake coordinator for the Charles McDowell Center facility by coordinating the intake and scheduling of the students referred by agency staff to the Center for rehabilitative services. • Communicates with multiple parties in coordination and planning of individual training schedules and master class schedules for the entire facility. • Serves on the multiple committees to track and review progress and assess any issues that may impact training and develop plans that address any barriers to training needs • Provides information on community resources and counseling to consumers in regards to vocational services, daily living skills, personal adjustment and transportation. • Reviews medical documentation to assist in the evaluation of consumer referrals. • Attends all consumer-staffing conferences to provide critical information and consultation to the consumer and their Voc Rehab Counselor. • Works to provide information to consumers concerning individual responsibilities and terms for services.<br><br><b>Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</b>: The successful candidate for this position will have professional vocational rehabilitation experience and strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
