<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">“Trump blames workers with ‘intellectual disabilities’ for crash.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Friends—Department of Education funding was instrumental to the development of audio description in media. Without the ADA, there would likely have been no AD produced for movie
theaters or by streaming services. Absent the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act, it seems unlikely that commercial broadcasters would be offering audio description. The ADA and Titles 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended
ensure that AD happens with live performances supported by public funding and in media produced by the government.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">I fear that the comments expressed this morning do not bode well for federal funding and legislation/regulations that support audio description. And within the context of a tragic

promise that anyone is working on this, but it is a known problem at Hulu. I would urge you to keep contacting Hulu to let them know it is a priority item. Their customer service line is 888-631-4858. Email contact seems difficult.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

There’s a new medical drama that has come out at the beginning of this year, called doc.It premiered on Fox, and it does have audio description when playing live on Fox on Tuesday nights. But, I’ve been playing catch-up on Hulu, and of course there’s no audio
description. I’m wondering, if there’s anybody to contact to see if we can get that passed through on Hulu as well.

Because I want the description, I feel like the old days of 30 or 40 years ago when I have to schedule my TV watching around when it plays live because I know there’s gonna be description. What a bummer.<br>
