--></style></head><body lang=EN-US link="#0563C1" vlink="#954F72" style='word-wrap:break-word'><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal><b>National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky</b><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Membership and Communications Update (January 2026)<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>To: </b>NFB of Kentucky Membership<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>From: </b>Lonnie Swafford, NFBKY Web Team<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>Subject: Recent Technical Challenges</b><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>In December, a combination of website automation issues, (email confirmations and background processing), and a disruption to the affiliate’s shared Google Drive folders slowed routine communications and record updates.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>What is being done now<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>National web support assisted with restoring system-generated email using relay-compatible, “From”, settings.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>National reported on January 15 that the recent errors were resolved and scheduled background jobs should run normally, with continued monitoring.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The web team is continuing file recovery and clean-up so records and documents are consistently accessible again.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>How this affects 2026 dues and confirmations<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>If you paid 2026 dues and have not received the usual confirmation email, this is the most common reason. In many cases, payment receipts still went out, but confirmation messages and some membership-status updates inside CRM were delayed while the system was stabilized.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>What to expect next:</b><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I will enter renewals and updates into CRM as soon as practicable.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Some members may receive a follow-up call or email from me or another web team member to confirm dues status or contact details.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><b>December meeting minutes<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>This same disruption also delayed distribution of the December Greater Louisville Chapter minutes and the December affiliate board minutes. Those documents will be sent later today.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We apologize for any inconvenience.
