In the case of a federal government shutdown tomorrow, tuesday, October 1, 2013, most Library of congress personnel, including all NLS staff, will be furloughed, and BARD servers will be shut down for the duration. Service will be restored as quickly as possible, once NLS staff are allowed to return to work. We truly regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

    Hi guys!

    Just wanted to pass on some info so everyone can be prepared.  If the government does in fact shut down tonight, the BARD website will be off line & unavailable.  So, you may want to be proactive & download some books.  This BARD shut down will include your new IPhone app.  You will need to fully download to your computer, a cartridge or phone in order to read it.
