Please join us on September 26 for the first annual all-day Technology

Federation of the blind of Kentucky. Come learn about the latest and
greatest in the world of Assistive technology for the blind and visually
impaired. Representatives from Freedom Scientific, Humanware, Hims Inc. and
APH will be providing demonstrations of their products; and will hang around
during the lunch break for hands-on access to their devices. You'll also
hear about new products and services being offered by the Talking book
library, the KATS Network and NFB Newsline. In addition, you'll see
in-depth demonstrations of the Apple TV, the brand new KNFB Reader ap for
the iPhone, find out just how far Android has came in terms of accessibility
and much more. Not to mention, you'll have the opportunity to network with
assistive technology professionals, vendors, blind students and others using
AT on a regular basis. Oh, and did I mention door prizes? The Technology
symposium is a free event but if you pay the $5 registration fee you'll be
eligible to have your name entered to win over $300 worth of awesome tech
related door prizes, including an Apple TV. So, what are you waiting for?
Start making plans to attend and help us spread the word! Whether you're a
blind individual, teacher, student, parent, assistive technology trainer,
rehabilitation professional or a coordinator of a disability office at a
college or university; you're sure to come away with an abundance of new
knowledge, and more empowered to make informed choices in regards to
selecting the right equipment to meet your needs.

The Technology Symposium will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel (Russell
Shelby Room) in Louisville on September 26, from 9:00 Am to 5:00 PM, with
the TAD business meeting to follow. You're also welcome and encouraged to
hang around for the remainder of the NFBK State convention. Try your hand
at Monte Carlo, socialize with new and old friends and enjoy the cash bar
Friday evening. Join us on Saturday for General Session and the banquet and
on Sunday morning for the National Association to Promote the Use of Braille
of KY (NAPUBK) meeting. Please see the attached flyer and agenda for all
