The New Apple TV Remote App for iPhone Adds Siri Support and More

iOS: Apple launched their new remote app for Apple TV today, with support for features on the current fourth-gen model, like using Siri and playing games.

Once you connect the app to your Apple TV over your Wi-Fi, you’ll notice the app looks exactly like the remote that comes with the fourth-gen Apple TVs. It pretty much works the same too. The top half of the screen lets you swipe and tap to navigate menus, and you still have the play/pause, home, and Siri button combo. You can talk to your Apple TV’s Siri through your phone as well, and you can even use your iPhone’s built-in accelerometer and gyroscope to play games. Additionally, you can use your iPhone’s keyboard to type out searches, which is much easier than using the touchpad to scroll around. You can download it for free at the link below.
