Subject: Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day

 

Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day! Each year, the third Thursday of
May is designated as Global Accessibility Awareness Day. The purpose is to
promote digital accessibility and inclusion for people with all
disabilities. It's a celebration of assistive technology, universal design,
and disability representation. It is estimated that over a billion people
worldwide, as many as 1 in 7, have some form of a disability.  The goal is
to get people with disabilities talking about digital access and inclusion
for the disability community, while encouraging nondisabled people to learn
about it.  

 

Our own blind vendor, Todd Stephens, is very involved in the NFB KY
Technical Assistance Division (TAD). This group provides both members and
non-members with instruction on various Assistive Technology topics. If you
