The new Braille Touch App was developed by Georgia Tech Researchers. The intent was initially to provide a better typing experience for those of us with out vision; however, it does appear that they are targeting folk that can see as well. The developers will be adhering to Universal Design Principles. That is, designing a product that is useable and pleasing to the greatest extent possible. Could this new Braille keyboard app replace the QWERTY keyboard? The developers anticipate a recent release and they also anticipate that the APP will be free to both users of IPhone and Android devices.

Please see the article: http://www.latimes.com/business/technology/la-fi-tn-braille-touch-blind-texting-20120220,0,2817977.story

Best,

Todd
