Under limited supervision, collects and interprets medical, psychological, vocational and other reports to determine if consumer is eligible for deaf/blind services. Based upon assessments and vocational guidance and counseling, works with other counselors
 to plan, facilitate and coordinate delivery of services through an Individual Plan of Employment. Assures job placement is appropriate for a deaf/blind consumer by assessing job requirements at work place and making recommendation for technology and/or making
 referral to AT specialist. Plans, facilitates and coordinates the delivery of deaf/blind consumer group activities designed to promote socialization, independence, and training. Provides technical expertise to universities, employers and general public regarding
 services for deaf/blind consumers. Works with other professional organizations that specialize in deaf/blind services. Manages the National Deaf/Blind Equipment Distribution for half of the state. Evaluates and trains deaf/blind individuals who meet the guidelines
 for that program. Develops and maintains case documentation, prepares correspondence, writes reports, interprets agency policy and procedures, travel to assigned counties, resolves consumer complaints and trains new counselors on deaf/blind services. Conducts
 presentations, facilitates future planning meetings, and maintains a registry database for identifying/tracking individuals who are deaf/blind. Performs other duties as assigned. Agency prefers candidate with American Sign Language (ASL) skills in order to
