Voting Works is the system Kentucky will be using so blind and print disabled voters can cast a accessible and independent absentee ballot in the November election. As mentioned yesterday we will be scheduling at least two training sessions with Voting Works to help familiarize voters with the system. So, stay tuned.<o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>Remember the last day to register to vote is October 5th. The last day to request an absentee ballot is October 9th.<o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>Also, I would like to know if anyone in Jefferson County has had problems using the accessible voting machines? Has the machine been up and running when you arrived to the polling place? If not, was the precinct worker able to successfully set up the equipment. I am asking these questions because the attorneys in the Protection and I Advicacy Office have had complaints. This is in an effort to make sure all forms of voting are accessible to us.
