months, Lt. Governor Brown and I have worked closely with the General
Assembly to put Maryland families first with the passage of legislation to
improve our <a

make our <a
href="http://click.bsftransmit1.com/ClickThru.aspx?pubids=0hIGWqTCl%2bJS7MTovmwxIocImx2wcZmy0P2K53jcmDM%3d&digest=5NW3ktuRODcpovW3m3i0xA">neighborhoods
safer</a>, and strengthen the laws against <a
href="http://click.bsftransmit1.com/ClickThru.aspx?pubids=sMXzy5mx4Q0pO2dNLviG5VLFfMSIL8dRixCdzC6YN6I%3d&digest=PRDey94%2fGSMLD2FxVN8VWg">domestic
abusers</a>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style='font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>Our work is not yet
done. We are still working to pass legislation that would rationally
reregulate Maryland’s energy supply. We are also fighting to keep
in-state college tuition affordable for more Maryland families by freezing
it at zero percent increase for the fourth straight year and we are
continuing to work with the General Assembly to balance one of the toughest
budgets in state history.<br>

Putting Maryland families first was our priority when we entered the 2009
Legislative Session, and it remains our priority as we work through this
final week.<br>
