<p class=MsoNormal>I wanted to pass this event invitation along to you
all. I am currently taking a Novice Rowing Course with the Capital Rowing
Club in Washington DC. They are holding an event next Sunday 5/17 to
encourage individuals with various types of disabilities to look at rowing as a
sport. So far, as a blind rower, I don’t see any real adaptations that
need to be made for me to fully participate. But this event may be a good
opportunity for other blind folks in the MD/DC/VA area to see what the sport is
all about. Also there will be a free BBQ. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>I will be there next week after my practice, so I hope to
see others there. The location is easy to get to from Navy Yard Metro
Station off of the Metro’s Green Line. And if you’re using MetroAccess or
some other para-transit service provider, let them know in the trip notes that
the location is the Anacostia Community Boathouse near the Navy Yard. <o:p></o:p></p>
