research to help us understand how the function of certain brain areas change as a result of early blindness. The study also investigates whether preserved senses are enhanced when vision is absent. We are hoping to learn more about how people integrate information
from multiple senses and how this, in turn, will inform the design of future sensory substitution devices. </span><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif""><o:p></o:p></span></p>

participants will be $25/hr for behavioral sessions and $50/hr for the fMRI sessions. In addition, the costs of round-trip transportation will be covered by our lab.</span><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif""><o:p></o:p></span></p>
