<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif">The Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (LBPD) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the American Red Cross. LBPD will host a day-long event focused on First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.<br><br>The event will be held in person at the library, and registration is required. Registration will be limited to fifteen (15) people. Registration opens May 1, 2023. This event will take place May 20th at 9:00 a.m. at the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. The course lasts 5 hours. <br><br><u>Course Description:</u><br>The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED r.21 program is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. The modules in this program teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. This course lasts five (5) hours.
