Hello TLC Chapter,
Below is a message from Pam Goodman, the Maryland Employment Committee
Co-Chair, who spoke to us on Monday evening. Even if you were not in
attendance at Monday's meeting, I definitely encourage you to reach
out to her if you are interested in sharing employment information
with her in general or if you would like to become part of the newly
formed Maryland Employment Committee.
Pam says:
"Thank you so much for letting me attend your recent chapter meeting.
It was such a pleasure to get to know the chapter members better and
hear your topics and priorities.
The Maryland Employment Committee was formed to provide support and
share resources for job seekers, mid-career folks and even retirees
who have lots of helpful knowledge having walked the career path.
The committee has three questions to help us gather info, plan and prioritize.
1. What is your career goal, current career path or career history?
2. What do you think the top priorities are to help the blind to find
and keep fulfilling employment?
3. Do you have a passion or experience with employment and would like
to contribute your energy as a committee leader?
