Subject: Job Seekers: Register Now for NFB of Maryland 2024 Career Fair - February 16, 2024 - Towson, Maryland
Friends,
The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland (NFBMD), the state’s oldest and largest advocacy organization of and for blind and low vision Marylanders, will be hosting an in-person career fair on Friday, February 16, 2024 in connection with our NFBMD State Convention. The Career Fair will take place from 1:00 – 4:00PM at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel, 903 Dulaney Valley Road, Towson, 21204 <https://www.google.com/maps/search/903+Dulaney+Valley+Road,+Towson,+21204?entry=gmail&source=g> . We invite job seekers to register to attend and to share information about this Career Fair with others who are blind, low vision, and/or part of the NFB community.
We expect to have approximately 500 individuals attend the convention itself, and many of them are job seekers with diverse experience and education. The unemployment and under-employment rate for individuals who are blind and low vision in America is well over 70%, employers are frequently saying they can’t find talent, and NFBMD is hosting this Career Fair to put job seekers and employers together to fill a mutual need.
We are requesting that job seekers register for the Career Fair by January 15, 2024 using the link:

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back
