It’ll be OK.  I can’t call you because I’m in the hospital with my dad where I can’t use the phone.  But I’m having the hotel cancel the reservation you made and they’ll refund your deposit, or else NFBMD will pay it back to you.

It’s Ellen Hayden here. I’ve tried to reach out to you via text, but I’m emailing you now because I need to know what to do about the NFB hotel reservation. I understand that there are two reservations in my name now, and I have tried to let you know that CIERR a Tourville is prepared to pay the NFB for her half of my room as my roommate. You have her contact information, I believe. If not, I can share that with you.

Anyway, you should know also that the hotel has already charged me for the first night, and I need to know if I should cancel that reservation or if you have made accommodations for another couple of members in that second reserve room. This is all a bit of a cluster, but I need some reassurance that things will be OK.

Please give me a call at your convenience. I’m at 240-506-7197.

In addition, we will have a virtual experience for those who are not able to attend the state convention in person.  The virtual experience will enable participants not physically present in Ocean City to listen to the General Session, Board Meeting, Resolutions Committee, and Banquet, but other seminars and workshops will not be streamed.  Virtual participants may win door prizes, participate in the Bake and Experience Auction, and participate in the Time of Sharing.  Virtual participants will not be able to vote or speak on the convention floor.  Sponsor and exhibitor information will be shared with those who register for the 2026 NFB of Maryland Convention Virtual Experience.
