<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">BCI Research Study:<br>
We are running a small study to determine if Brain Computer Interface<br>
technology (BCI) could be used as an alternative input modality for the<br>
purposes of entering an authentication code. We are specifically<br>
looking for eight participants who are legally-blind (no or very limited<br>
residual vision, relying on use of a screen reader), to participate.<br>
The study will take place over a 90-120 minute session. During this<br>
session, the participants will perform tasks involving the use the<br>
Emotiv EPOC BCI headset to send commands to a PC. No prior experience<br>
with BCI technology is needed.<br>
The study will be conducted in person either at UMBC, or an alternative<br>
venue on/off-campus (at participant's convenient place). The<br>
participants will each receive $20 as<br>
compensation for their time.<br>
