Dear Colleagues,

It is a joy to report that Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced today
that she is reappointing Commission Chair Jo Ann Pilarski to the MCB Board
for an additional three-year term.  Commissioner Pilarski was first
appointed to the Commission, February 13, 2001, and has served with
distinction for the past nine years.

As many of you know, Jo Ann and her family reside in Alpena, where she works
as an elementary school teacher in the Alpena School system.  She has proved
to be an outstanding advocate for quality education and rehabilitation
services and has been particularly supportive of greater consumer
involvement in the improvement of Commission policies and services.

I know that each of you will join me in congratulating Jo Ann on her
reappointment and pledging continued cooperation and support as she
continues in her role as the MCB Chair.
