Royal Oak, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Royal Oak mother is threatening to sue the Oakland Intermediate School District in federal court because they have stopped

providing large print books for her visually impaired son.

"It is unfair" says Dina Vailliencourt. The Intermediate School district has provided the larger print materials since 14 year old Sean was in first grade

in Catholic School. Now the ISD wants to stop providing the materials because Sean is attending a Catholic School.

The Intermediate School District has always provided the printed materials for 14 year old Sean. He has always attended Catholic Schools. The ISD is apparently

eliminating services because of cutbacks.

Sean Vailliencourt says "It is not fair that they provide them for some kids and not for others."

We attempted to reach the Oakland Intermediate for a comment. They are on break for the holiday and not due back until January Third.
