Former administrator of American Printing House for the Blind, alleged sexual abuser

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A former administrator with the American Printing House for the Blind is no longer employed there. This news comes after

a WHAS11 News investigation. Last month, we first told you that Darrell Buford had been indicted on 10 felony counts involving the sexual abuse of a teenage

boy.

On Monday, our continuing investigation revealed that Buford had been convicted of molesting four other boys in the past, including his two adopted sons.

Buford previously served as the alumni president of the Kentucky School for the Blind for five years, and was appointed by the governor to chair a statewide

commission on disability issues.

What is happening with this case? No news for two months! And to clear up the statement that Darrell Buford was a "prominent" person at APH, he was an Administrative

Assistant-that's it. He never had any real power or authority in his positions there. He was even disciplined for making himself sound and look more important

than he was when his director was out on medical leave. He seemed to cause problems wherever he went. I still think the people who should have checked

his background need to be questioned as to why it wasn't done properly. I guess that says a lot about both of them. And now, the former HR Coordinator

works for Mitch McConnell, again. He should be so proud!!

A couple of other people that should have done their jobs are the Human Resources Director, Norma Fletcher and Human Resources Coordinator, Angie Schulte.

The first of which was let go earlier this year and the second left abruptly in March...hmmmmm.....sounds convenient, doesn't it?

I remember applying for a job with that organization years ago and that man being less than courteous when I spoke with him. You never know what is behind

someone's locked doors and guys like that should have the book thrown at them. You have to wonder how these people get their jobs based on the fact they've

been morally compromised in the past as well as criminal backgrounds. Somehow in this country its went from being qualified and hard working to being the

who you know society and that sort of hubris and corruption is why the country is going downhill

Thank you again Adam for keeping on top of this story, another Mother coming forward wanted to know why he was still working at the school, and I'm so thankful

that she came forward strong, together we will unravel this mess, there are now three of us using our voices with you in letting the world know this is

something that has to be stopped again no one should go through the pain that we (Mark, Randy, Jason, and me). We are fighters and it is my prayer that

it will heal all of us in time, and not let another family ever ever go through this, at least not with Darrell Buford. Keep up the good work! No Pain

No Gain!
