Hello Everyone,
I Just wanted to introduce myself to the list and say hello. My
name is Scott Ford, I live in Traverse City Michigan. I have an incredible
wife and her name is Leanne, I also have to daughters this year. Their
names are, Mykala and Sina. Sina is a German exchange student, she is from
Dortmund Germany. We have one Dog named Dunkin and a cat named Milo.
I served in the U.S. Navy for eight years as a Seabee construction
Mechanic (CM). I was medically released from active duty because I was
going blind. Now I work for Adaptive Information Technology inc. my job is
working as an Adaptive Technology Specialist. I really enjoyed my time in
the military, because we had an opportunity to do a lot of good for people
that made a real difference. I feel the same way about what I am doing now,
I feel that my job is very fulfilling and benefits many people.
TheOne upstairs has been really looking out for me in ways that I
could never have expected. When I was told that I was going blind I felt
that it was the end of my life. After a lot of soul searching I have
discovered that this was far from the truth. I have now come to realize
that My life is much fuller now and I have met many wonderful people whom I
would have never met otherwise. In addition I am afforded the luxury to do
volunteer work that before I left the military I had never even given a
passing thought. I will end for now I do not want to begin rambling. Have
a wonderful night.
Sincerely,
Scott
